More than 4.5 lakh candidates appeared for the State level BEd Entrance Exam 2016 held in Uttar Pradesh. There was approximately 90 per cent attendance, meaning about four lakh candidates appeared for the test, authorities said. The exam was conducted in various centres around the State, with normal invigilation and precautions.

Increased number of students makes competition for BED seats in colleges across the state. As more and more candidates register, the expected cutoffs may increase, particularly for top colleges and universities in urban areas. Narrow ranks may occur during seat allocation in the written test.

What High Attendance Means for Competition?

Result shall be declared by the exam authority and the candidates are requested to keep watching and follow the official UP education portal by the exam authority website for the declaration of results and counselling schedule.

Eligible candidates should have original documents available and do the following:

Class X/Class XII Mark sheet, graduation certificate, category certificate (if available), photo ID, and passport size photographs to be submitted for verification at the counselling session.

It is important for candidates to strictly adhere to the registration window, fee payment schedules, and reporting time to not get disqualified from the exams.

The candidates should only check the notification from the Uttar Pradesh education department and the official exam portal.
