JEE Advanced 2026 Topper: Meet Arohi Deshpande, Who Scored 280/360 to Top Among Female Candidates
IIT Roorkee has declared the JEE Advanced 2026 results. Arohi Deshpande of the IIT Delhi zone has emerged as the national female topper with a Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 77, scoring 280 out of 360 marks.
The success of Arohi Deshpande is a great example of the importance of discipline and consistency. According to the report, she got the maximum marks of 77 and 280 out of 360 marks in her paper making her the top female candidate.
JEE Advanced Result
The JEE Advanced 2026 result was declared by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee on 31st May, 2026. Shubham Kumar got the highest marks, 330, in the entire exam while Arohi Deshpande led the girl students in the same exam with 321 marks.
Arohi had followed a regular routine and refrained from social media during the preparations. The way she approaches the subject matter emphasizes that there is a lot of benefit in studying with focus, minimal distractions and frequent revision for candidates preparing for competitive exams.
Her example puts into practice a few good habits for students taking JEE exams: set a fixed schedule, keep off of screens, and keep going even on the bad days.

The count of successful women qualifiers is the highest in the history of JEE Advanced at 10,107 compared to 9,404 in 2025, with the qualifying percentage of women standing at 24.92%, as the total number of women appearing for the test is 40,562.
Zone-wise Highlights
Out of the total seven IIT zones, the highest number of qualifiers comes from the IIT Madras zone at 14,294 whereas IIT Guwahati zone had the least number of qualifiers with just 2,883 qualifiers. Arohi Deshpande, from the IIT Delhi zone, stood first amongst females with CRL 77 and 280 marks.
