MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 LIVE: Round 2 Registration Started at mcc.nic.in, Check Process & Latest Updates

MCC has issued the seat matrix for the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Second Round today, September 3, 2026. Candidates will need to visit the official website to check the seat vacancies for three different categories - newly added, clear, and virtual - at mcc.nic.in. The category-wise PDF has the seat matrix for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) quota MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats.

Round 2 Eligibility includes applicants qualified through NEET UG 2026 who have not registered for Round 1, applicants who registered but could not get any allocation in Round 1, and those applicants admitted in Round 1, who applied for seat "Upgradation" (Float).

NEET UG Round 2 registration window will be available until September 9, 2026, while choice filling and choice locking will be available till September 9, 2026.

Reserved category candidates (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, PwD) must ensure that their certificates comply strictly with Central Government formats valid for the 2026–27 academic year. Certificates not aligning with central standards will result in seat cancellation or conversion to the Open/Unreserved category.

Admitted candidates must carry original documents: NEET UG Admit Card, Scorecard, Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets/Certificates, Government-issued Photo ID proof, 8 Passport-size Photographs, Seat Allotment Letter, Provisional Clearance, and Caste/Category Certificates (if applicable).

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) activates the official registration portal for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling today, September 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Eligible candidates seeking MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and Deemed Universities can access the portal online at mcc.nic.in.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has delayed the online registration process for NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling. Originally scheduled to open earlier today, September 3, 2026, at mcc.nic.in, candidates are advised to keep checking the official portal for the revised link activation time before beginning choice filling for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats.

Candidates who joined their Round 1 seat but wish to resign without forfeiting their security deposit must do so within the resignation window specified on mcc.nic.in using the online "Seat Resignation" portal before Round 2 seat allotment processing.

The candidate who has chosen upgradation in Round 2 will keep his or her seat which was already allocated to him/her during Round 1 in case he/she does not get a higher preference seat. 

Register at mcc.nic.in. From here, choose “UG Medical Counseling,” then “New Registration 2026” and fill in your NEET UG Roll Number, Application Number and PIN. You need to fill in all personal information, make payment online and print registration form confirmation page.

Apart from the fee, candidates have to pay a refundable security amount which will be as follows: ₹10,000 for General/EWS category (AIQ/Central Universities); ₹5,000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD (AIQ/Central Universities

Candidate who had been allotted a seat in the first round but did not report or join without exercising an exit option or candidates who had joined the first round allotted seat and had chosen the "freeze" option are not eligible for second round seat allotment.

Round 2 Eligibility includes applicants qualified through NEET UG 2026 who have not registered for Round 1, applicants who registered but could not get any allocation in Round 1, and those applicants admitted in Round 1, who applied for seat "Upgradation" (Float).

The online applications can be registered and completed on the website mcc.nic.in during the period of September 3 to September 8, 2026, till 3:00 PM. The process of payment of the fees through online mode will continue till 6:00 PM of September 8, 2026. It is recommended to complete registration process well in advance to prevent any web traffic issues.

NEET UG Counselling 2026 round 2 registration and choice filling link will be activated at 1 PM today, September 3, 2026. Candidates eligible to participate in the second round of counselling must visit the official website to complete the registration and choice-filling process.

MCC will open the website for registration process for NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 2 from today onwards, that is, September 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Those candidates who are eligible to get admission into MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing under 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and Deemed universities can visit www.mcc.nic.in to register online.

As per the official notification, the PwD portal for round 2 counselling for NEET UG is now active. Candidates applying under this category can visit the official website and complete the application process. As per the official notification, the Primary Medical Assessment Board will conduct the assessment of those candidates who will report to the Primary Medical Assessment Board up to 10:30 AM on September 5, 2026. The Primary Medical Assessment will complete the assessment by 06:00 PM on September 6, 2026

NEET UG Round 2 registration window will be available until September 9, 2026, while choice filling and choice locking will be available till September 9, 2026.

The NEET UG 2026 round 2 registration and choice filling window will open online soon. The link to register and enter the options for allotment will be activated on the official website shortly. Candidates participating in the second round of counselling are advised to have all documents ready with them to complete the registration and fee payment process

The state counselling process is underway for admission to state quota seats. Various state boards have commenced the NEET UG counselling for admissions to the state quota seats. Admissions are conducted based on the NEET UG Scores. Candidates are allotted seats based on their choices and their NEET Score. Candidates participating in the state quote counselling must visit the official website to check the state allotment and report to the colleges for admission. 

NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 registration process begins today, September 3, 2026. Candidates participating in the second round of counselling must complete the online registration and choice filling process within the deadline. The last date for candidates to register is September 8, 2026 and the last date to lock the choices is Sptember 9, 2026. 

Candidates participating in the NEET UG Round 2 counselling can visit the official website of MCC to register and enter their choices for the second round of counselling. When entering the choices for allotment, candidates must enter the course and college in the order of preference. 

Students should always ensure that they look into the seat matrix issued by MCC for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing seats before applying to their preferred institute and course options.

Seat matrix allows students to have a better idea about their preferred choice of institutes depending upon the number of seats available there.

The window for students to enter their choices for the second round of NEET UG counselling will open today. Once available, candidates are required to enter their choice of course and college in the order of preference for allotment. The allotment will be conducted as per the choices entered with first preference given to the first choice provided. Students are hence advised to check through the seat matrix and submit their choices based on their chance of getting an allotment. 

MCC will begin the NEET UG round 2 counselling registration process today, September 3, 2026. Candidates participating in the second round of counselling are required to visit the official website and login with their credentials. After completing the registration process, students can fill out the choices for the second round of NEET UG counselling. 

Candidates who have cleared their NEET UG Entrance Exam with the required minimum marks can apply for the counselling round. Students who have applied for the first round of counselling and upgraded can also participate in the second round of counselling. Candidates participating afresh in the second round must register for the same through the link available on the official website. Students must make sure they enter the choices in the order of preference for admission. 

Based on the choices entered, the NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 seat allotment result will be announced. According to the schedule, the NEET UG Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on September 11, 2026. There will be a total of three counselling rounds for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses. After the third round of counselling, in case of remaining vacant seats, online stray vacancy round and spot admissions will be conducted. Candidates applying in the second round must select their options after the allotment and report to the colleges for admissions with all required documents. 

The NEET UG 2026 round 2 counselling registration window opens today, September 3, 2026. Along with the registrations, students can also enter their choices for the second allotment round from today onwards. When entering the choices for the counselling round, students are required to enter the choices in their order of preference for allotment. Before entering the choices, students are also advised to go through the seat matrix. The window to lock the choices will open from 4:00 P.M of September 8, 2026 to 10:00 A.M of September 9, 2026

The link for candidates to register for the second round of NEET UG counselling will be activated on the official website shortly. Candidates can register and enter their choices for the second round of NEET UG counselling at mcc.nic.in. Candidates unable to secure a seat in the first counselling round and those applying for the second round for the first time must complete the registration and choice-filling process through the link on the official website. According to the schedule provided, the last date for candidates to register for the counselling round is September 8, 2026 and the last date to enter the choices for NEET UG round 2 counselling is September 9, 2026.

The registration link for NEET UG Round 2 counselling will be activated on September 3. Candidates should keep their NEET UG details and required documents ready before beginning the registration process.

 Candidates who did not participate in Round 1 or were not allotted a seat can participate in Round 2, subject to MCC’s eligibility rules.  

Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and opted for the “Float” option may participate in Round 2 for upgradation as per MCC rules.

Candidates who selected the “Freeze” option for their Round 1 seat and want to retain the allotted seat should not participate in Round 2 for upgradation.

Candidates are advised to carefully check the counselling schedule, complete registration within the deadline and lock their choices before the stipulated time.

The reporting and joining window for candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will remain open until September 18, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 will have to report to their respective colleges for the admission process from September 12. The last date to join your allotted college is September 18, 2026.

Candidates who opted for the round 1 float option and wanted an upgrade must register for the NEET round 2 counselling registration. Those who were not allotted seats in the previous round must also register.

The MCC will announce the NEET UG Round 2 seat allotment result on September 11, 2026.

The NEET UG round 2 choice-filling and registration will begin on September 3, 2026 on the official website at mcc.nic.in. Students can apply and further fill their preferred choices using their NEET UG roll number, application number and password.

Candidates will be able to lock their choices from 4 pm on September 8. The choice-locking facility will remain open until 10 am on September 9.

The choice-filling facility will remain available until 10 am on September 9, 2026. Candidates must fill the choices before the deadline on mcc.nic.in.

• Physical reporting by Freeze category candidates: Up to 5 PM on August 31, 2026
• Submission of willingness for upgradation (FLOAT): Up to 12 noon on August 31, 2026

Candidates must ensure they lock the choices on time and once locked, they will not be allowed to rearrange or make changes to the choices entered. The seats are allotted on the basis of choices entered, availability of seats and the applications received.

Students must ensure that they check the seat matrix released by MCC for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats before filling their preferred choice of institutes and courses. 

The seat matrix helps students better know their preferred choice of institues based on the availability of the seats there. 

Candidates must ensure that they select the number of seats in order of their preference. They will also be required to select the preferred course such as MBBS, BDS and other medical courses. 

Candidates who opted for the round 1 float option and wanted an upgrade must register for the NEET round 2 counselling registration. Those who were not allotted seat in the previous round must also register.
